MPs rarely get the opportunity to present such a Bill, so deciding what issue to focus on is critical. Barry and his team put a lot of thought into it. They decided to present a Bill that would update the MOT test for diesel cars, specifically in testing Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs), in line with the objectives set out here at the Commission.
It is essential that we catch faulty or missing DPF’s on vehicles during MOT inspections so these vehicles stop polluting the air we breathe.
