Jonathan Grigg is Professor of Paediatric Respiratory and Environmental Medicine at Queen Mary University of London, Honorary Consultant Respiratory Paediatrician at the Royal London Hospital, and is a Senior NIHR Investigator. His research has focused on the effects of air pollution- including its effect on airway infection. He has also performed trials of treatments of asthma in children. He is a member of the UK Department of Health’s Committee on the Medical Effects of Air Pollution, and leads a NIHR Global Health Research Group focused on improving asthma outcomes in Sub Saharan Africa (ACACIA). His ongoing research is looking at the effects of air pollution on susceptibility to COVID-19 disease.
