Paul is Professor Emeritus at the Medical School, Swansea University and Director of Research Vindico ICS. In 2021, he became Wales’s UKRI Clean Air Programme Regional Air Quality Champion. A member of the Welsh Parliament Cross Party Group for A Clean Air Act, he sits on the Welsh Government Clean Air Advisory Panel, PM2.5 target reduction sub-group and PM2.5 monitoring network sub-group. He is also a member of the Welsh Government Wales Air Quality Direction Independent Review Panel and Welsh Government Domestic Solid Fuel Burning in Wales – Task and Finish Group.
