Ruth Calderwood, Air Quality Manager, City of London

Ruth Calderwood is the Air Quality Manager at the City of London Corporation. She is responsible for developing and implementing air quality policy and has worked in local government air quality management for over 20 years.  

Ruth has initiated  a number of research projects such as the impact of burning biomass on urban air quality, real world vehicle emission testing and has developed proposals for an Emission Reduction Bill, which has had its first hearing in the House of Lords.   

Ruth is a Trustee of Environmental Protection UK, a national charity that provides expert policy analysis and information on air quality, land quality and noise.
