EVBox has partnered with online parking platform YourParkingSpace to offer electric vehicle drivers a pre-bookable park and charging points across the UK.
After a successful trial at the Holiday Inn Express in Bicester, the new project will roll out charging points nationwide, inclusive of retail and hospitality locations.
The initiative helps electric vehicle drivers have ‘peace of mind’ that a charging point will be available on arrival.
The trial at Holiday Inn Express in Bicester saw five EVBox charging points where installed. Following this, 250 business charging points will be installed over the next 12 months in partnership with YourParkingSpace across Atlas Hotel sites.
YourParkingSpace strives to ensure that UK motorists are never further than 20 minutes away from an available charging point, which can be booked and paid for in advance through an app.
EVBook UK & Ireland Regional Director, Jonathan Goose, commented that the scheme ‘will address the growing demand for EV charging ports, while ushering in a new era of commercial charging in the UK’.
