ClientEarth: Clean Air Business Update

Many people have noticed cleaner air and clearer skies during lockdown. This has resulted in widespread calls for measures to clean up our air permanently from the general public, medical professionals, MPs, and crucially from business. 
 
At the same time it is increasingly clear the route to a strong, resilient economy and the creation of good quality jobs will come through linking recovery to reducing emissions, including those from transport, rather than through propping up old, polluting industries. In his summer statement this week however, Chancellor Rishi Sunak missed a key opportunity to boost clean transport, leaving the UK lagging behind leading EU countries.
